Dan Loge spent much of his early years living in Western NY State where he developed a love for nature while hunting and fishing along the Niagara River. He began painting the local wildlife, especially the waterfowl that would migrate along the river. Twenty years ago, he and his family moved to Western Colorado which opened a whole new page in his art career. Dan began painting big game and western landscapes that capture the essence of his experiences during his time in the outdoors. His oil paintings have a fresh, authentic look from spending countless hours studying animals in their natural environment. Dan says, "I am constantly searching for new ways to create a simple, strong painting, and it is a real joy when everything falls into place on the canvas."

"I am inspired by western landscapes and wildlife and continue to search for new ways to do justice to nature's beauty through oil painting."
