A fine furniture and musical instrument maker, his first sculptures were done in wood. Hand-wrought bronze and silver and limited-edition bronzes were added to his repertoire. A world-class bird sculptor, Eugene has won numerous awards in national and international competitions, and his art was chosen by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum for their prestigious "Birds in Art" exhibition. His extensive knowledge of wild birds and animals gives Eugene the versatility to blend accuracy and detail with impressionistic textures and artistic sculptural design, and allows him to capture motion and the essence of each species depicted. Currently his work is collected throughout the United States. |
